Ingredients
- 1 Cup Butter, softened
- 1-1/2 Cup Sugar
- 4 Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 3 Cups Flour
- 1-1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 (21 oz) Can Apple Pie Filling
- 1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/2 Cup Powder Sugar
- 1-1/2 Tablespoon Milk
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Grease the bottom of a 9×13 baking pan with oil or non-stick spray.
- Cream the butter, sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing them in one at a time.
- Sift the flour and baking powder into the butter/sugar mixture. Mix until the flour is completely incorporated.
- Pour 2/3 of the batter into the bottom of the prepared 9×13 baking dish, making sure it is spread evenly in the pan.
- Pour the apple pie filling over the batter, and sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Dot the top of the apples with the remaining batter.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top and the edges are golden and the cake is cooked through.
- While baking the cake, make the powdered sugar glaze by mixing the powdered sugar and milk.
- Right before serving, drizzle with the powdered sugar glaze. Serve warm with a little vanilla ice cream.
