2-1/4 Cups All-Purpose Flour

2/3 Cup Granulated Sugar

2 teaspoons Lemon Zest

3/4 Cup Cold Butter

1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda

1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder

1/2 teaspoon Salt

1 Egg

3/4 Cup Sour Cream

1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
FILLING
-
1 (8 Oz) Package Cream Cheese, softened
-
1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
-
1 Egg
-
1 Tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice

2 (21 Oz) Cans Cherry Pie Filling
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Grease the bottom and sides of a 9" springform pan.
- Combine flour, sugar and lemon zest in a large bowl.
- Cut in butter until crumbly.
- Remove 2/3 cup of this mixture and set aside.
- Add baking soda, baking powder and salt to the remaining crumb mixture.
- Mix in egg, sour cream or yogurt and vanilla. Press into prepared pan.
FILLING
- Empty one can of cherry pie filling into a strain. Rinse off jelly so that only cherries are left.
- In a small bowl, combine drained cherries with the other can of cherry pie filing.
- Combine softened cream cheese, egg, lemon juice and sugar until well mixed.
- Pour over crust.
- Top with cherry pie filling.
- Sprinkle reserved crumb mixture over top.
- Bake 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool completely.
